#RepYourBlock 2024 Campaign Kickoff + Info Session

Join us at Endless Life Brewing in Crown Heights on Monday, Jan 8th to kick off the 2024 #RepYourBlock campaign and learn about how to get your community engaged in the fight for a better Brooklyn Democratic Party!

Rep Your Block is a community-led campaign dedicated to helping Brooklyn Democrats participate in local politics by running for County Committee and becoming a voting member of the Democratic Party. County Committee is the ground floor of the Democratic Party, and we believe getting people more involved can change the way politics work in Brooklyn.

Why should you Rep Your Block? We think of Brooklyn as overwhelmingly Democratic, yet decisions about the borough’s Democratic priorities and candidates are made by a few party insiders, often behind closed doors. It’s time to fix this by making sure everyone can access County Committee and make the Democratic Party in Brooklyn the standard for inclusive, transparent, and participatory local politics.

Whether you're an experienced County Committee member or just looking to get more involved in local politics, this event is for you!

BYD Summer Kickback - A Small-Dollar Fundraiser

BYD has a lot to celebrate this summer: we were named Chapter of the Year by the New York State Young Democrats, we pushed to put young people at the center of the political conversation, and we fought hard to support proud Democrats in this year's City Council primaries.

But we've still got crucial work to protect democracy and win the fight for a better Brooklyn this year, and we need your help! That's why we're inviting you to both celebrate and prepare for the future with us.

Join us at Kent Ale House at 4pm on Saturday, August 5th for a small-dollar fundraiser!

We've got some crucial fights coming in the months ahead, including the November City Council election, when we'll be supporting Democrats in Southern Brooklyn and elsewhere against competitive Republican opponents.

We can win these races and ensure committed Democrats serve Brooklyn in the Council, but we can't do it without your support. Plus, you'll get to enjoy drinks and talk politics with the coolest crew in Brooklyn.

Tickets start at just $30 and include a year-long BYD membership for anyone 36 or younger. The first 25 donors who give at the $55 level or higher will also get a limited-edition OG BYD t-shirt!

Summer goes quickly; don't miss this opportunity to enjoy it with friends while laying the groundwork for a Democratic victory this fall.
